Originally released at the end of 1999, Daybed’s 12” EP was the culmination of a year’s worth of work. The EP’s sound reflected the increasing abilities of engineers (and band members) Nathan Yeager and John Belles, and was a vast improvement over the previous year’s 10” EP.
The EP included six songs this time, two of which were one minute collages created solely by Nathan from audio samples from each side.

A note about the cover art on both the 10” and 12” EP’s:
The name “Daybed” was actually adopted by the band as the result of acquiring many rolls of stickers from Linens & Things (where Jason Socci and Matthew Kohnle both worked).
The stickers were used in the bedding department to identify bed sizes on comforters and sheet sets. It is these exact stickers that adorn the otherwise blank sleeves on both the 10” record and 12” records. Cheap bastards, Daybed.
